Walk in the Park: Willowick Grand Opening

Willowick Houston Park

It was a beautiful day for an Open House yesterday afternoon at Willowick Park. Willowick Park, comprised of 3 luxurious multifamily developments, Aria, Olympia and Willowick Townhomes is centrally located in Houston near River Oaks and West University. Open House attendees were welcomed by an ensemble of orchestra players and given a picnic blanket as a take home gift, perfect to relax on by the water fountain in the 1-acre park.

Funny fact about the beautiful water feature in the 1-acre park, to help create depth and scale to the cascading water fountain design, our landscape architects had to sketch what flowing water would look like by creating blades. When the design was presented to Martin Fein at Martin Fein Interests, Fein thought the blades were an art sculpture. Fein loved the idea of a sculpture so much; our LA’s decided to render the design into an art sculpture. Hence, the serene centerpiece was constructed.

Other than the 1-acre park, Kudela & Weinheimer Landscape Architects designed all the outdoor space, on-structure/rooftop courtyards, greenroofs and amenities for Aria and Olympia.

Aria is 5-story apartment community with 325 units of one, two or three-bedroom homes. Indoor community amenities include a 24 fitness center, board room, social lounge with a gaming area, library, spa and MUCH more. Outdoor amenities include a 6th floor rooftop sky bar/lounge with outdoor seating, a rooftop resort-style pool with sundeck and heated spa, lounge and seating areas with a fireplace, outdoor televisions, professional outdoor kitchen with grilling areas, lush landscape and planters.

Olympia is 6-story midrise with 189 units of one, two or three-bedroom homes. Indoor community amenities include a 24-hour concierge and fitness center, spa and salon with a lounge and pampering area, fully-equipped catering kitchen with dining room, 8th floor rooftop observation lounge with outdoor seating and MUCH more. Outdoor amenities include a podium resort-style pool with sundeck and heated spa, outdoor kitchens with grilling stations and televisions, covered cabanas with outdoor lounging and lush landscape, planters and palms.

After the wonderful tours through all 3 developments, attendees were able to feed his or her rumbling stomach with a variety of food truck options. Cajun Egg Rolls from St. Johns Fire, Chicken Thunder Fries from the Waffle Bus or a Fried Brownie from Custom Confections were just a few of the trucks that had our taste buds hollering.

Was it as hard for the rest of you to return to work as it was for us?
