Luke was born and raised amidst the pastoral Iowa countryside. The U.S. Coast Guard sent him to Seattle where he discovered a wild fusion of culture and nature. His love of public art and environmental stewardship led him to the University of Washington’s Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program and its framework of Urban Ecological Design and planning. His work ranges from urban districts, mixed-use housing, rooftop gardens, education, cultural centers, planned communities, healthcare, retail and worship.
“I live for functional and fun public spaces because that’s where all walks of life can interact in a positive way regardless of age, status, or creed.”
When Luke isn’t overseeing irrigation design, he love’s experiencing public art, exploring parks and playing in the Comal River with his four brilliant and beautiful children.
Luke grew up riding paint horses along the rivers and roads of the Des Moines River valley and its surrounding farmland. Now he wanders around the Texas hill country’s rivers and roads on his black denim sportster…and always stops for wood-fired pizza.
