Lucas was born and raised on a small farm in Northern Illinois, just outside of Chicago and spent much of his childhood outdoors exploring the woods on his family’s property and countless hours inside building anything with Legos. Through his explorations of the wilderness and fondness for building, a passion grew inside of him that eventually lead to Landscape Architecture. Lucas attended Purdue University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture in 2015. After graduating, Lucas made the trip down to Texas to work with K&W. Lucas’ work at K&W ranges from streetscapes to master planned communities to parks and more. Since graduating college and joining K&W, Lucas has developed a passion for design and can see a project through from schematic design to construction set-up. During his spare time, Lucas enjoys exploring the many parks that Houston has to offer or you can find him at Kirby Ice House with friends.
Growing up in Northern Illinois, Lucas was in the middle of Chicago Bears country, even though his family are die-hard Green Bay Packer fans. So much so that his parents put him on the 50-year season ticket wait list the day he was born and several of his BIG Christmas presents growing up were stock in the Packers.
